BM200E (13.8V-20A Power Supply cum Battery Charger).
This specification defines the performance characteristics of a 13.8V, 20A equipment supply cum battery charger operating on single phase AC supply.
Single phase, 2 wire and ground.
50Hz ± 3Hz.
AC 90V to 130VAC or AC 170V to 270V
> 75% at 230V, Full load.
The power supply has two output terminals i.e., Equipment and the Battery. Internally Battery is directly floated across the Equipment. When the battery is connected, voltage accross the Equipment terminal will follow the battery voltage.
OUTPUT VOLTAGE AND CURRENT
Equipment output - 13.8V at 20.0 Amps max. (when battery drawing NO current) Battery Supply - 13.8V at 12.0 Amps max. (When the wireless set is not in transmit mode). Maximum output power (Equipment + Battery) is limited to 280 W max.
OUTPUT VOLTAGE ADJUSTMENT
Output Voltage settable from 12.0V to 13.8V ±0.25V by adjusting ADJUSTMENT the (V.adj.) potentiometer provided on the front panel.
Battery charging will take place with constant voltage, constant current. Maximum charging current of the battery will be limited to 12.A + 20%. Maximum charging voltage to be 13.8V ± 2%..
OUTPUT VOLTAGE REGULATIONS
With the Battery disconnected, output voltage will remain with in ± 2% of the set values. And when battery is connected the output will follow the battery voltage.
RIPPLE & NOISE
Ripple on the outputs ( with battery disconnected ) shall be less than 1%, & Noise less than 2%.
OUTPUT OVER VOLTAGE
PSU trips on output over voltage condition (above 15V) and
resume to normal operation on removal of fault condition and AC power re-cycling with 20sec interval between switch OFF and ON.
OUTPUT OVER LOAD AND SHORT CKT.
PSU trips on output over current(above 23A) or short ckt condition.To resume normal operation fault condition to be removed and AC power to be re-cycled with 20sec interval between switch OFF and ON.
BATTERY REVERSE POLARITY PROTECTION
On reverse polarity,a red Led glows which is placed on the rear panel of the power supply and the the battery is isolated from power supply.
BATTERY DEEP DISCHARGE CUT-OFF
During power off condition,battery will supply power to the equipment. When the battery voltage falls below 10.8V, the relay which is provided inside will be cutt off and battery will not supply power to the equipment. The battery will isolate from the equipment to protect from battery damage due to deep discharge.When power resumes the relay will get ON and battery starts charging with full current.
Red LED Will be ON when battery is reverse connected.

DI-ELECTRIC VOLTAGE WITHSTAND TEST
1.5KV rms AC for one minute with a trip current of 5mA.
a) Between INPUT and CHASSIS.
b) Between INPUT and OUTPUT.
EARTH GROUND RESISTANCE
To be less than 200m when tested at 10Amp DC current.
